Materials

Six ways to get it right.

Granite
Natural Stone · One of a Kind

Available in a wide range of colors, patterns, and finishes, and because it's natural stone, every slab is unique. Natural variation means your countertop exists nowhere else. Durable, beautiful, and timeless, with periodic sealing to keep it pristine.

Unique Patterning Highly Durable Periodic Sealing
Marble
Danby Marble · Quarried in Vermont

American marble quarried and manufactured by Vermont Quarries Corp in Danby, Vermont: Imperial Danby, Olympian White Select, Montclair Danby, Royal Danby, Eureka Danby, Fantastico Danby, Mountain White, Crystal Gray, and Vermont Cipollino. Danby is prized for being denser and less absorbent than many imported white marbles, with the soft veining nothing engineered quite matches. It's a living surface: it wants periodic sealing and earns a gentle patina with use — we'll walk you through whether it fits how your kitchen works. And Danby is just the start — we also source imported Italian marbles, including Carrara, Calacatta, and Statuario. Ask your designer what's available for your project.

Quartz
Engineered · Low Maintenance

The balance most busy kitchens are looking for: stunning looks with minimal upkeep. Exceptional resistance to stains and scratches, consistent coloring across the slab, and no sealing required. Ideal for families who use their kitchen hard.

Butcher Block
Premium Hardwood · Warm & Inviting

Crafted from premium hardwoods, butcher block brings warmth no stone can match: a natural, inviting work surface that's perfect for islands and prep areas. Periodic oiling keeps it beautiful for decades.

Laminate
High-Definition · Budget Smart

Today's laminate has left the laminate you remember far behind. High-definition printing and texture-matched finishes deliver remarkably convincing stone and wood looks: at the friendliest price point on this page. It's non-porous at the surface, cleans up with soap and water, and fabricates quickly, which makes it a smart, honest choice for laundry rooms, mudrooms, workshops, budget-conscious kitchens, and multi-family projects where hundreds of feet of countertop have to look good and stay on budget. Like every surface here, it's selected alongside your cabinetry by the same designer, and we'll tell you plainly where laminate shines and where stone or quartz earns its keep: plan around seams, undermount sinks, and direct heat.

Our pick for bathroom vanity counters: high-quality porcelain that's non-porous, stain-resistant, and unbothered by the products a bathroom throws at it. Crisp, refined looks that stay that way with nothing more than soap and water.

Care & Cleaning

Keep it beautiful
for decades.

Granite
Daily: mild dish soap, warm water, soft cloth. Skip vinegar, bleach, and abrasive pads. Acids etch natural stone. Reseal periodically (a drop of water should bead; if it soaks in, it's time). Heat-tolerant, but trivets protect the sealer.
Marble
Daily: pH-neutral cleaner or mild soap, soft cloth. Wipe acids (lemon, wine, tomato) promptly; they can etch the polish. Reseal periodically, use cutting boards and trivets, and let the patina come. Honed finishes wear the years most gracefully.
Quartz
Daily: soap and water. That's it. Non-porous, so no sealing, ever. Avoid harsh solvents and direct hot pans (the resin, not the stone, is the limit): use a trivet and it will look new for decades.
Butcher Block
Wipe dry after use, and oil regularly with food-safe mineral oil to keep the wood nourished. Light scratches sand out, one of the few counters that gets more character with age.
Porcelain
Nearly maintenance-free: non-porous, stain-resistant, and unfazed by common bathroom products. Soap, water, done. It's our pick for hard-working vanities.
Laminate
Daily: soap and water or any mild household cleaner: no sealing, ever. Skip abrasive pads and harsh solvents, keep hot pans on trivets, and wipe standing water at seams and edges. That's the whole routine.

Every Triumph countertop install includes care guidance for your exact material, and one number to call with questions, for life.
